We’ve Locked Ashanti Region For Bawumia- Ashanti Region NPP Delegates

Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region have publicly declared their support for former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, insisting that the party’s stronghold is firmly behind his bid to become the NPP’s next presidential candidate.

According to the delegates across constituencies in the region, extensive consultations and engagements have resulted in what they describe as an overwhelming support in favour of Dr. Bawumia ahead of the party’s upcoming presidential primaries.

The delegates in the Ashanti Region, widely regarded as the electoral backbone of the NPP, is determined to back a candidate it believes has the experience and national appeal to lead the party into the 2026 general elections.

They also praised Dr. Bawumia’s record as Vice President, highlighting his advocacy for digitalisation, economic reforms, and inclusive development. According to them, these initiatives have resonated strongly with party members and the wider electorate in the region.
