The tour, which will take Dr. Bawumia through all 276 constituencies across the country, marks the official start of his engagement with party delegates and grassroots supporters as he seeks to become the NPP’s next flagbearer.
According to a statement released by the Bawumia Campaign Team on Tuesday, the tour aims to deepen grassroots engagement, strengthen party structures, and build consensus across the rank and file of the NPP.
“Dr. Bawumia looks forward to sharing his vision and collectively working towards a resounding victory for the NPP in the 2028 general elections,” the statement noted.
In the Bono East Region, Dr. Bawumia is expected to meet with polling station and electoral area coordinators, constituency executives (both current and former) as well as former Members of Parliament, former MMDCEs, party patrons, and members of the Council of Elders.
The campaign team described the tour as a reflection of the former Vice President’s commitment to listening to the party’s grassroots and ensuring that all members feel included in shaping the NPP’s path forward.
“This tour is about reconnecting with our base and reaffirming the values that bind us as a family,” spokesperson for the campaign said. “Dr. Bawumia believes that the strength of the NPP lies in its people, every polling station, every constituency, every loyal member.”
