Bawumia Rallies Unity at NPP National Delegates Conference: “Under Our Tent, All Are Welcome”

Published:

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia delivered a powerful message of unity and inclusion today at the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Delegates Conference held at the University of Ghana Stadium. Addressing thousands of party faithful, delegates, and dignitaries, Dr. Bawumia reaffirmed the NPP’s commitment to national cohesion, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or social status.

“Under our tent, it has not mattered where you come from; whether you are a Sefwi, Fante, Ewe, Ashanti, Ga-Dangbe, Krobo, Dagomba, Wala, Dagarti, Konkomba, Frafra, or Mamprusi,” he said, drawing thunderous applause from the crowd. “It has not mattered what religion you practice; whether you are a Christian, Muslim, or a traditional African religious practitioner. It has not mattered whether you are rich or poor, or whether you are formally educated or not.”

The Vice President’s remarks came at a crucial moment as the NPP gears up for rebuilding after the 2024 general elections defeat. Dr. Bawumia’s speech is seen as a unifying call to Ghanaians across all backgrounds to rally behind a common vision of progress and inclusiveness.

Dr. Bawumia emphasized that the strength of the NPP lies in its ability to bring diverse groups together under a shared purpose. “Our party has always been a broad-based movement that reflects the beautiful diversity of Ghana,” he noted.

The conference, which saw participation from all 16 regions, was marked by spirited speeches by party vigwigs, strategic discussions, rebuilding, implementation of reforms and a reaffirmation of the party’s core values of development, democracy, and dedication to the Ghanaian people.
