‘I Can Die for Bawumia for His Good Heart’ – NPP Cape Coast North Chairman

Published:

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Cape Coast North Constituency Chairman has sparked emotional reactions after making a passionate declaration of loyalty to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, recounting a deeply personal act of kindness from the Vice President.

Speaking during Second Lady Samira Bawumia’s campaign tour in the Central Region, the Chairman revealed that Dr. Bawumia once visited him to offer comfort and support during the painful loss of his child, a gesture he said he would never forget.

“Dr. Bawumia came to spend time with me when my child died. If I have to cut my head to make him President, I will,” the visibly emotional party executive declared to loud cheers from delegates and supporters gathered at the event.

His statement drew applause from the crowd and symbolized the depth of personal loyalty and affection that some grassroots party leaders feel towards Dr. Bawumia, who is currently vying to become the flagbearer of the NPP ahead of the 2028 general election.

Samira Bawumia, who is leading a vigorous campaign across various constituencies, used the occasion to appeal to delegates for their support, highlighting her husband’s commitment to party unity, development, and transformational leadership.

She urged delegates to choose a leader who understands both the aspirations of the grassroots and the complexities of governance, adding that Dr. Bawumia embodies humility, intelligence, and dedication to national progress.
