The 2024 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will lead the party’s leadership on a nationwide “Thank You Tour” beginning Saturday, April 26, 2025, in the Western Region.
The tour, approved by the NPP’s National Council, is aimed at expressing heartfelt appreciation to party members and the general public for their unwavering support throughout the 2024 general elections. It will be held under the theme, “In All Things, Give Thanks to God” — inspired by 1 Thessalonians 5:18 — underscoring the party’s acknowledgment of divine providence in its political journey.
According to the NPP, the tour will provide a platform for Dr. Bawumia and the Campaign Team to reconnect with grassroots supporters and reinforce the sense of unity and shared purpose that defined the party’s recent electoral efforts.
A detailed itinerary reveals that the tour will commence in the Western Region on April 26, after which Dr. Bawumia and his team will visit all sixteen regions of the country. Notable stops include the Ashanti Region, considered one of the party’s strongholds, from April 29 to May 1, and the Greater Accra Region from May 10 to 12. The final leg of the tour will take place in the Central Region on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
Each regional visit will feature constituency-level engagements, where party members and supporters will have the opportunity to interact directly with the presidential candidate and NPP executives. The events will also serve as a morale booster and a rallying point for future political activities.
The tour will conclude with national interfaith thanksgiving services, involving both Christian and Islamic communities, to reflect the party’s commitment to inclusivity and spiritual gratitude.
The NPP is encouraging all supporters to actively take part in the tour events in their respective regions and constituencies. Party leaders believe the gesture will not only strengthen internal cohesion but also promote a culture of appreciation and unity within the broader Ghanaian democratic space.
