Bawumia’s Grassroot Welfare Policy Campaign Shakes Ahafo

Published:

Flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed strong confidence in securing an overwhelming victory in the party’s upcoming 2026 presidential primaries as he takes his campaign tour to the Ahafo Region.

Speaking during his regional campaign tour that shook the Ahafo Region, Dr Bawumia said he is targeting at least 90 per cent of votes from Tano North delegates, an improvement on the 84 per cent endorsement he received in the constituency during the NPP’s 2023 flagbearer contest.

“I am confident that the good people of Tano North will once again show their unwavering support. We did it in 2023 with 84 per cent, and this time, I believe we can go even higher,” Dr Bawumia stated.

The former Vice President began his Ahafo Regional tour with engagements in Tano North, Tano South, and Asutifi North constituencies, where he interacted with party executives, delegates, and supporters.

Dr Bawumia’s tour in the Ahafo Region forms part of his broader nationwide campaign to consolidate grassroots support ahead of the NPP’s 2026 presidential primaries. His message has focused on unity, economic transformation, and building on the party’s achievements to ensure victory in the 2028 general elections.
