The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Mahamudu Bawumia, is set to deliver a keynote address at the 2026 Africa Summit hosted by the London School of Economics on Saturday, March 28.
Dr. Bawumia will speak on the theme, “Artificial Intelligence and Uniting Borders in Africa,” where he is expected to outline a forward-looking vision on how artificial intelligence can accelerate Africa’s economic transformation and strengthen regional integration across the continent.
The summit will bring together policymakers, academics, students, and industry leaders to explore Africa’s future, with particular emphasis on the role of emerging technologies in driving inclusive growth and cross-border collaboration.
Organisers say the event will serve as a platform for critical dialogue on innovation, governance, and the continent’s evolving digital economy, amid growing global interest in Africa’s technological potential.
Dr. Bawumia’s participation is expected to highlight Ghana’s ongoing digitalisation agenda while contributing to broader conversations on how African economies can leverage artificial intelligence to overcome structural barriers and enhance competitiveness.
The 2026 Africa Summit at LSE forms part of a series of high-level engagements aimed at shaping policy discourse and fostering partnerships between Africa and the global community.
