Bawumia takes Accra market centres by storm

The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, in is bid to take the ;Bold Solutions’ to the people engaged Accra market women. He visited the Mamprobi Tuesday Market to interact with traders as part of his “meet-and-greet” session. The “meet-and-greet” session has become a prominent feature of Dr Bawumia’s campaign, where he can talk to potential voters for the December 7 polls directly and exchange pleasantries with them. The NPP presidential candidate was warmly received by the market women, amid shouts and cheers of “It’s Possible” and “Number One”.

From Mamprobi Tuesday Market, Dr Bawumia went to Makola 31st December Market in Odododiodio, where he shook hands with traders and warmly embraced them. Some of the traders who were holding NPP paraphernalia and souvenirs waved to them happily and enthusiastically, with shouts: “Dr Bawumia is number one, it’s possible, Free SHS, Agenda 111, among other accolades.

The NPP presidential candidate and his entourage also went to the Kantamanto Market in the Central Business District of Accra where most of the traders sold second-hand clothes. Dr. Bawumia was not perturbed by the rains that sought to interrupt the meet-and-greet session. Amidst the rains, he still interacted with the market women and those present around Okaishie Market.

Dr Bawumia continued his campaign tour of some market centres to the Agbogbloshie Market in the Odododiodio constituency of the Greater Accra Region. At all the market centres Dr Bawumia visited, the traders and bystanders welcomed him warmly with euphoria, acknowledging some of the Akufo-Addo-led government’s policies and social interventions.

Dr. Bawumia was accompanied by Stephen Ntim, the national chairman of the party, Samuel Sarbah Lartey, the NPP parliamentary candidate for Ablekuma South and other constituency executives of the NPP.
