Addressing the people of Ntoboroso in the Atwima Mponua Constituency as part of his Ashanti Region campaign tour, Dr. Bawumia added that he will facilitate the setting up of a mining bank. He also assured the people about mineral development bank, a bank for miners so that you can do proper responsible mining as we have set up Agric development bank for farmers. ,

“We are going to allow the Geological Survey Department to bring all their maps to show us areas where gold is, so that we will not do trial and error to start with, so that we can set up community mining schemes. So that we will license the miners so that nobody can come and tell you that you are not allowed to do this, you will be licensed according to the law as long as you mine responsibly,” he assured.

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia also spoke about reducing food importation through an agriculture mechanisation system under his presidency.
