The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, is set to embark on a three-day “Thank You” tour of the Volta Region from Tuesday, October 14, 2025, to Friday, October 17, 2025.

The visit, according to an official statement signed by the Volta Regional Secretary, Bright Kwashie, is aimed at expressing the party leadership’s appreciation to the people of the region for their overwhelming support during the 2024 General Elections.

“This is to formally notify you that the National Chairman will embark on a three-day ‘Thank You’ Tour of the region to express his appreciation to the people for their overwhelming support for the Party during the 2024 General Elections,” the statement said.

Constituency chairmen have been directed to collaborate with Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs) and Members of Parliament (MPs) in their respective constituencies to ensure strong mobilisation and active participation from party executives, key stakeholders, and grassroots members.

The letter further indicated that financial support will be extended to each constituency to assist with mobilisation and related activities during the tour.

“We count on your usual cooperation to make this important regional engagement a success,” the statement concluded.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia’s visit to the Volta Region, known as a traditional stronghold of the NDC, is expected to rekindle grassroots enthusiasm and strengthen the party’s organisational structures ahead of future political activities.

The tour will see the National Chairman interact with party members, community leaders, and local opinion shapers across several constituencies in the region.
