Nana Aba Anamoah Endorses Bawumia’s Bold Solutions against Galamsey

Published:

Nana Aba Anamoah, a renowned TV and radio presenter, has publicly endorsed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s solution to tackle the galamsey menace in Ghana. Galamsey, or illegal mining, has been a pressing national issue, sparking varied reactions from the public. Recently, organized labor planned a nationwide strike, but it was suspended due to the government’s swift response to their demands.

Dr. Bawumia, the vice president and NPP’s 2024 presidential candidate, outlined his strategy to combat galamsey. He emphasized a preventive approach, involving key stakeholders in the mining industry and traditional leaders in affected communities. His plan includes regulating the mining sector, providing comprehensive training to locals, and issuing licenses to operate.

Nana Aba Anamoah praised Dr. Bawumia’s bold solutions on her X (formerly Twitter) account, stating, “Dr. Bawumia’s solution against Galamsey is the most practical I’ve heard so far.” However, her endorsement drew criticism from netizens. Unfazed, Anamoah reaffirmed her stance, saying no amount of attacks or intimidation would change her mind.

Dr. Bawumia’s proposals have sparked lively debate on all social media platforms and traditional media spaces. Ghanaians believe he’s the only candidate with a comprehensive plan to fight this menace.
