The planned swearing-in ceremony for newly appointed High Court Judges, which was originally scheduled to take place tomorrow, Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Jubilee House, has been postponed indefinitely.

In an official notice issued to the affected judges, the Judicial Secretary, Mr. Musah Ahmed, cited “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason for the postponement. The statement noted that a new date for the ceremony will be communicated in due course.

“You are to take notice that due to unforeseen circumstances, the planned swearing in of newly selected High Court Judges scheduled to take place tomorrow, Thursday, 9th October, 2025, at the Jubilee House has been postponed indefinitely,” the notice read.

“A new date will be communicated to you. Any inconvenience is sincerely regretted. Please accept my kind regards,” it added.

The ceremony, expected to be presided over by President John Dramani Mahama, was to formally induct the newly appointed judges into office, allowing them to begin their judicial duties.
