Yes, pastors in the celestial realm can be described as spiritual animals, yet in their human flesh are political animals, so supporting political parties are normal. However, they should add tact to their political commentaries.
I have read a story and watched a video of Rev Obofuor admonishing some citizens not to criticise the incoming John Mahama administration since they didn’t do the same to the outgoing Akufo-Addo administration. Obofuor further posited that he will deal with such elements.
The above proposition of Obofuor exposes his unintelligent bias and his low understanding of politics. Who is Obofuor to tell Ghanaians how to hold a government accountable? Does he think all Ghanaians are congregants of his mushroom one man church? Obofuor should get this straight that his darling boy, John Mahama, will be criticised bigly, and he can’t do anything about it. When he was criticising the outgoing regime, was he stopped?
