DOHA, QATAR — Beauty in Diversity Doha 2026 came alive at the Ebenezer Inter-Denominational Church, Doha, as worshippers from multiple nations gathered for a powerful celebration of faith, culture, unity, and Christian fellowship. " The colourful and spiritually charged event, held at Antioch Hall, Anglican Centre, Doha, drew members, dignitaries, and guests from across the globe — transforming the venue into a vivid and moving display of God's kingdom in its fullest expression.

Beauty in Diversity Doha 2026: A Gathering of Nations Under One Faith

From the opening moments, the atmosphere at Antioch Hall was electric. Worshippers representing multiple nationalities arrived dressed in the rich colours and traditional attire of their home countries, yet united by a single identity — their shared faith in Christ. The occasion marked not only a celebration of cultural heritage but a powerful declaration that the Church transcends borders, languages, and backgrounds. The celebration drew remarkable participation from five African nations, each delivering vibrant cultural presentations that captivated the congregation: Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, and Nigeria. Every presentation was a testament to the richness, creativity, and spiritual depth embedded in the cultures of Africa — and a resounding affirmation that God's family is beautifully diverse.

"Although we come from different nations, traditions, and languages, we are one body in Christ — called to reflect His love and glory," remarked one of the officiating ministers as he addressed the congregation. The words drew a resounding response from an audience deeply moved by the fellowship that filled the hall.

Distinguished Diplomatic Presence

The event was graced by the representation of His Excellency Mohammed Nurudeen Ismaila, Ghana's Ambassador to the State of Qatar, whose delegation lent the celebration a distinguished diplomatic character. The Ambassador was represented by a high-level team from the Ghana Embassy:

  • Mrs. Sarah Opokua Asare — Head of Chancery (HOC)
  • Mr. Frank Kyei Owusu — Consular Officer
  • Ms. Pearl Kekeli Alipui — Diaspora Affairs Officer

The keynote address, delivered on behalf of His Excellency, drew on the power of intercultural harmony — highlighting Qatar's exemplary model of peaceful coexistence and Ghana's own proud legacy of unity in diversity as inspirations for how communities of faith can lead the way in building a more just and peaceful world.

Beauty in Diversity
A Theme That Spoke to the Heart

The chosen theme resonated profoundly with everyone in attendance. Diversity, the celebration affirmed, is not a point of division but a divine masterpiece — intentionally crafted by God. Just as a tapestry draws its beauty from many colours woven together, so too does the Body of Christ derive its richness from the many nations and cultures gathered under one Lord.

The message was clear and consistent throughout the programme: our differences are not barriers to be overcome but gifts to be celebrated — each one contributing uniquely to the fullness of God's glory on earth.

Invited Guests and Community Leaders

The celebration drew a distinguished array of invited guests representing diverse communities, organisations, and institutions across Doha, reflecting the broad reach and impact of Ebenezer Inter-Denominational Church within the Ghanaian and wider African diaspora in Qatar.

Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation — NiDO was represented in full force by its executive leadership, including: Dr. Michael M. Ihekwaba (President), Victoria E. Omododo (General Secretary), Kate (Assistant Secretary), Martins I. Obasi (Welfare), Lorencia Udosen (Welfare), Paschal K. Obasi (Chief Whip), Johnson Nwala (PRO), and Joy Osarose (Welfare).

The Turkish Community was represented by Ms. Hanife Mirik, a Certified IOSH UK professional, SHES Trainer, and staff of Tekfen Construction Qatar — whose presence underscored the truly international spirit of the occasion.

Further distinguished guests included the South African Community Representative, and the Uganda Community President, Mr. Aliguma Saul Rayan, whose participation affirmed the pan-African solidarity that characterised the day.

Community organisations also featured prominently. GiQa was represented by its Chairman, BB Quaicoe, alongside representatives from Doha Fraternity and the Church of Pentecost, the latter represented by Elder Prince Awuah and his family.

The education sector was well represented, with the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Williams and Family of Newton International Academy, Mr. and Mrs. Fubaro and Family of Oryx International School, Barwa City, and Mr. Felix, Head of Department at New International Academy — reflecting the church's deep ties to the broader Ghanaian educational community in Qatar.

A Programme Filled with Inspiration, Culture, and Joy

The event featured a rich and carefully curated programme that kept the congregation engaged and uplifted from start to finish. Highlights included heartfelt corporate worship, inspiring presentations from church leadership, vibrant cultural performances, traditional music and dance, and meaningful fellowship sessions that strengthened bonds across every community represented.

Each cultural display was received with enthusiasm and deep appreciation, underscoring the church's vision of a community where every background is honoured and every voice is heard. The presentations collectively painted a vivid picture of the creativity, uniqueness, and beauty that God has placed within His people.

A Spiritual Message Beyond the Celebration

Beyond the colour, music, and cultural expressions, the day carried a weighty spiritual message — one that will long outlast the event itself. Barriers are broken in Christ. Hearts are connected across difference. Love, the celebration declared, is the common language of the redeemed.

In a powerful closing affirmation, the congregation rose together to declare the spirit of the day: "One Faith. One People. One Celebration. United in Love. Inspired by God."

Gratitude and Reflection

As the celebrations drew to a close, church leadership expressed deep gratitude — to God for His faithfulness, to the vision-driven leadership of the church for bringing the event to life, to the Ghana Embassy delegation for their dignified representation, and to every guest, participant, and cultural presenter whose presence made the day truly extraordinary.

The 2026 International Day Celebration was, by every measure, far more than an event. It was a living testimony — a glimpse of heaven's unity expressed here on earth, and a renewed call for the church to continue walking together in love, embracing every difference as a gift, and advancing as one family in Christ.

May the memories of this beautiful day continue to inspire all who were present to embrace one another, celebrate their differences, and journey together as one people — united in faith, love, and purpose.
