The government’s flagship Adwumawura Programme is designed as a comprehensive engine for nurturing young entrepreneurs, not merely a funding or training initiative.
The Adwumawura Programme is more than funding and training. It is about creating an ecosystem that gives entrepreneurs the tools they need to build.
Veep Naana Opoku-Agyemang launching the program, highlighted that beneficiaries will receive a full suite of support, including practical instruction in business planning, financial management, digital literacy, customer service, and sustainable business practices. In addition, participants will benefit from mentorship, start-up kits, and access to networks and markets to help them scale their ventures.
The Adwumawura Programme underwent a rigorous and transparent selection process that produced 10,000 beneficiaries, that involved stakeholders from government, academia, the private sector, and development partners. Participants earned their place in the programme through demonstrated potential and determination.
The Adwumawura Programme officially concludes today, marking the beginning of what government hopes will be a new generation of empowered, innovative Ghanaian entrepreneurs.
