Bawumia, NPP Honour Late Salifu Adam Braimah

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has arrived in Tamale to attend the final funeral rites of the late Salifu Adam Braimah, a former Savannah Regional Minister and Member of Parliament for Salaga South.

Dr. Bawumia touched down in the Northern Regional capital, joining family members, political leaders, and sympathisers to honour the late statesman, whose passing has been widely mourned across the region and beyond.

He was received on arrival by the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, along with Deputy General Secretary Haruna Mohammed and the party’s Northern Regional Chairman, Samba. Several party officials and Members of Parliament were also present to welcome the Vice President.

The funeral rites are expected to draw a significant gathering of political figures, traditional leaders, and residents, reflecting the late Braimah’s influence and service to both his constituency and the nation.

Salifu Adam Braimah served as Savannah Regional Minister and previously represented the people of Salaga South in Parliament. He was widely regarded as a dedicated public servant whose contributions to governance and development in the northern sector earned him respect across party lines.

Dr. Bawumia’s presence underscores the importance the government and the ruling party attach to the legacy of the late former minister, as tributes continue to pour in from across the political divide.
