Bawumia Celebrates Ghanaian Women

Former Vice President and 2028 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mahamudu Bawumia, has paid tribute to women across Ghana and the world in a message marking this year’s International Women’s Day.

In a statement shared to commemorate the occasion on March 8, Dr. Bawumia celebrated the achievements and contributions of women, highlighting their impact on families, communities, and national development.

“Today we celebrate all the incredible women who have made a difference in lives and in this world,” he stated.

He commended women for their brilliance, courage, and resilience, noting that their innovations and visions continue to shape societies and inspire progress.

“We celebrate their brilliance, their courage and strength, their innovations and their visions,” Dr. Bawumia added.

The former Vice President also used the opportunity to express appreciation to women for their roles in advancing development and fostering positive change.

“To all the women, Happy International Women’s Day,” he concluded.

International Women’s Day is observed globally on March 8 each year to recognize the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women while advocating for gender equality and women’s empowerment. In Ghana and around the world, the day is marked with events, campaigns, and messages celebrating the role of women in society.
