Former fetish priestess-turned-evangelist, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has been released from the Nsawam Prison after serving eight months in custody.
Her release comes after the completion of two-thirds of a revised custodial sentence, in line with Ghana’s remission regulations.
Nana Agradaa has since reunited with her husband and family. Her husband, Asiamah, confirmed her return in a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 3, stating: “Thank God my wife is finally home.”
She is also expected to join members of her church later in the day for fellowship, marking her first public appearance since regaining her freedom.
The evangelist was initially sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment on July 3, 2025, after being convicted of defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertisement.
Her legal team subsequently challenged the ruling, arguing that the sentence was excessive.
Upon review, the Amasaman High Court reduced the sentence to 12 calendar months, describing the original punishment as harsh.
Having served two-thirds of the revised term, Nana Agradaa qualified for remission and was released from custody.
