The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has commenced a nationwide membership registration exercise aimed at strengthening its grassroots structures and positioning the party for upcoming internal and national electoral activities.
The month-long drive, which runs from March 1 to March 31, 2026, seeks to update the party’s membership database, enhance transparency, and broaden its support base across the country.
Registration will be conducted exclusively at designated polling stations where members ordinarily cast their ballots during national elections. Party officials explained that this approach is intended to ensure accuracy in record-keeping and guarantee that only legitimate members participate in internal processes.
The leadership emphasised that the updated register will play a key role in future party activities, including polling station elections and other internal decision-making processes.
The NPP has therefore called on polling station executives, constituency officers, regional teams, and branch leaders to intensify mobilisation efforts within their respective communities to ensure a smooth and successful exercise.
The registration exercise is expected to serve as a foundation for the party’s organisational restructuring and long-term electoral strategy as it prepares for future political contests.
