Thank You NPP – Bawumia

Published:

The 2028 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed profound gratitude to party faithful and delegates following his victory in the party’s recent presidential primaries.

Speaking at a Thanksgiving Service held at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Dr. Bawumia described his election as flagbearer as both a personal honour and a collective achievement for the NPP family.

Addressing party executives, Members of Parliament, grassroots supporters and well-wishers, Dr. Bawumia thanked delegates across the country for the confidence reposed in him. He emphasized that the outcome of the primaries should not create divisions but rather strengthen unity within the party.

“This victory is not for one person. It is a victory for the New Patriotic Party and for all those who believe in our tradition,” he stated, urging members to close ranks as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections.

Dr. Bawumia underscored the importance of reconciliation after what he described as a competitive but healthy internal contest. He acknowledged the contributions of his fellow aspirants and called on supporters to move forward with a shared sense of purpose.

The Thanksgiving Service, characterized by prayers, worship and messages of encouragement from clergy, focused on gratitude and the need for humility in leadership. Religious leaders at the event prayed for wisdom, unity and strategic direction for the NPP as it charts its path toward the next national elections.

Party stalwarts present at the event described the gathering as symbolic, noting that beginning the campaign journey with thanksgiving reflects the party’s reliance on faith and collective effort.
