Man Commits Suicide After DNA Test Results

A Ghanaian man identified as Benjamin Offei has reportedly died by suicide in Copenhagen, Denmark, after allegedly discovering through a DNA test that the four children he had been raising were not his biological children.

The incident was reported by Breeze 90.9 FM on February 2, 2026, citing information that Offei had been in a relationship with his partner for about 10 years before marriage and had been married for approximately nine years.

According to the report, Offei was found dead in a garage days after learning the results of the DNA test.

In a separate account shared on social media, an abroad-based digital content creator known as Bmm Swerdna indicated that he had received a distressing call from Offei, who reportedly disclosed that none of the four children were biologically his.

In a post dated January 20, 2026, Bmm Swerdna wrote that Offei was emotionally distraught during the call as he narrated the outcome of the DNA test. On February 1, he updated his page, indicating that Offei had taken his own life.

Authorities in Denmark have not yet publicly commented on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
