Pius Hadzide, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Asogyama Constituency in the 2024 general elections and aide to Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has made a startling allegation that former Assin Central MP and NPP flagbearer hopeful, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, financially supported opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidates during the 2024 general elections.
Pius Hadzide claimed that Kennedy Agyapong, known for his outspoken and controversial political style, “sponsored several NDC parliamentary candidates” in an attempt to undermine the NPP’s electoral prospects.
According to Hadzide, the alleged actions of the former MP were a betrayal of the party’s unity and collective mission, stressing that such conduct raises serious concerns about loyalty and discipline within the NPP
Hadzide further stated this was not just a political misstep, it was a calculated effort to weaken the chances of NPP in the elections.
Kennedy Agyapong has not yet responded publicly to the allegations.
