NEIP Adwumawura Beneficiaries To Be Onboarded.

Published:

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Employment and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Eric Adjei, has announced that successful beneficiaries of the government’s flagship Adwumawura Programme will begin receiving official SMS notifications and phone calls confirming their selection.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Mr. Adjei congratulated all successful applicants who made it into the 2025 cohort of the initiative, describing it as a transformative opportunity for Ghanaian youth to acquire employable skills, build businesses, and contribute to national development.

“As part of the onboarding process, beneficiaries within the Greater Accra Region will take part in a mandatory orientation exercise on Thursday, 2nd October 2025, at the CEDI House, University of Ghana, Legon,” the statement said. The event will be held under the auspices of Her Excellency, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, who is expected to grace the occasion.

The Adwumawura Programme, spearheaded by the NEIP, forms a key component of the government’s broader agenda to create sustainable jobs, empower young entrepreneurs, and promote innovation across various sectors of the economy. It aims to equip young people with the tools and training necessary to thrive in both traditional and emerging industries.

Mr. Adjei also extended words of encouragement to applicants who were not selected in the current cycle, assuring them that “there will be another opportunity to apply in the next phase of the programme.”

The NYEIP boss reiterated the government’s commitment to tackling youth unemployment through strategic, skill-based interventions that bridge the gap between education and employment.

The Adwumawura Programme has been widely praised for its focus on entrepreneurship development, technical training, and innovation support, making it one of the most anticipated youth empowerment initiatives under the current administration.
