NPP to Hold Balloting for Presidential Aspirants on Friday

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that it will conduct a balloting exercise for its presidential aspirants on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the party’s headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra. The exercise, which begins at 11:00 a.m., will determine the order in which candidates’ names will appear on the ballot paper for the party’s upcoming presidential primary slated for January 31, 2026.

In a letter signed by William Yamoah, Secretary to the Presidential Elections Committee, the NPP congratulated all aspirants for successfully passing the vetting stage and encouraged their participation in the upcoming exercise.

The letter, dated October 7, 2025, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to transparency, fairness, and inclusiveness in its internal democratic processes. “The party remains committed to ensuring a level playing field for all aspirants as we prepare for a peaceful, credible, and transparent election,” the letter stated.

The invitation has been extended to the five presidential hopefuls cleared to contest the primary:
• Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong
• Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong
• Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong
• Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
• Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum

The party has also requested that all aspirants confirm receipt of the invitation and assured them that any concerns ahead of the exercise would be promptly addressed.
