Party insiders suggest the National Vetting Committee has recommended his disqualification because of failing to pay the GHS 4.6 million development fee and the National Executive Council has approved his disqualification, but no official explanation has yet been made public. The National Vetting Committe has gone on to issue Kwabena Agyapong 48 hours clemency period, failing to pay within 48 hours will see him disqualified from the National Presidential Primaries on January 31, 2026.
