No More Rhetoric, Deliver Results! – Martin Amidu to Mahama

Published:

Former Attorney General Martin Amidu has taken President John Mahama to task, demanding that he stop hiding behind “rhetorical excuses” and start delivering real solutions for Ghanaians.

In a fiery article, Amidu slammed Mahama’s recent claim that Ghana was an “economic crime scene”, calling it nothing more than a political smokescreen.

“Am I hearing well and rightly that President Mahama described Ghana rhetorically as an ‘economic crime scene’ before 7 January 2025 that has to be reset?” Amidu questioned.

“We the people voted for President Mahama for firm and impartial leadership and not worn-out politico-economic rhetorical excuses.”

“I am more interested in knowing what President Mahama in opposition and his minority in Parliament did concretely for Ghanaians during the interregnum when the economy was being turned into an economic crime scene,” he wrote.

His challenge is clear: If Mahama saw the crisis coming, why didn’t he act? Why did the NDC approve budgets and economic policies that supposedly created this “crime scene”?
