President Akufo-Addo has lauded Vice President and New Patriotic Party flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for his unwavering loyalty, integrity, and commitment to Ghana.
Speaking to professional bodies in the Ashanti Region on Sunday (24 November) the President emphasized that Dr Bawumia is a leader of unimpeachable character who has earned his trust over the years.
“Bawumia has never lied to me. In 16 years of working with him, he has shown only loyalty and commitment,” Akufo-Addo stated, highlighting the Vice President’s years of preparation and experience.
The President recounted Dr Bawumia’s eight years in opposition as his deputy and eight years in government as Vice President, noting that this journey has thoroughly prepared him to assume the presidency.
He praised Bawumia as someone who “lives and breathes Ghana,” with a clear vision of leveraging the fourth industrial revolution to propel the country forward.
Akufo-Addo concluded by urging Ghanaians to give Dr. Bawumia the chance to lead, describing him as a transformative leader who understands what Ghana needs to achieve its goals.
The President is on a three-day tour of the Ashanti Region. He is expected to engage key stakeholders, engage and commission various projects and canvass for votes in the NPP stronghold.
