NPP Set Up “I CATCH YOU” Committee To Police Verbal Diarrhoea Members

The National Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that its Ad Hoc Committee set up to supervise the conduct of the party’s presidential aspirants and their campaigns has officially begun its work.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, October 9, 2025, the Council said the Committee’s mandate is to closely monitor the actions, statements, and public engagements of all aspirants and their campaign teams to ensure that the upcoming presidential primaries are conducted in a peaceful, respectful, and issue-based manner consistent with the NPP’s values and democratic traditions.

The Council cautioned all aspirants, spokespersons, and supporters to refrain from making offensive, divisive, or inflammatory remarks that could sow discord within the party as it prepares for the January 31, 2026 primaries.

“If any member of the Party or the general public comes across utterances or conduct that may cause disunity, they should promptly report such matters to the Committee,” the statement urged.

It further explained that such complaints must be supported by credible evidence and may be submitted in writing or through phone and WhatsApp communication for swift attention.

Reaffirming its commitment to upholding party discipline and internal cohesion, the Council emphasized the importance of mutual respect, fairness, and maturity among all aspirants throughout the campaign period.

“The Party’s unity and cohesion remain paramount before, during, and after the presidential primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026,” the Council stressed.
