The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) newly elected flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has paid a courtesy call on former Presidents John Agyekum Kufuor and Nana Akufo-Addo following his victory in the party’s recent presidential primary.
The visit, which took place shortly after Dr. Bawumia secured the party’s top ticket, was aimed at expressing appreciation to the former Presidents for their longstanding support, guidance, and counsel throughout his political journey within the NPP.
Dr. Bawumia, who served as Vice President under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, acknowledged the pivotal role former President Kufuor has played in shaping the party’s leadership tradition and mentoring emerging leaders over the years.
