Bawumia: The Initiatives I Advocated Are Today Making Impacts in Our Lives

Published:

Forrmer Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has touted the positive impacts of his policy initiatives, asserting that even the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) government continues to rely on them to drive development.

Dr. Bawumia made the remarks shortly after filing his nomination forms at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) headquarters in Accra to contest the party’s upcoming presidential primaries.

Addressing enthusiastic party supporters and delegates, the Vice President said his vision and track record in government put him ahead of the competition.

“The initiatives I advocated for are today making impacts in our lives. From digitalisation to financial inclusion, we have laid a strong foundation that is transforming this country. Even our opponents have had no choice but to adopt and continue with these interventions,” he stated.

Dr. Bawumia cited the Ghana Card project, mobile money interoperability, the digital property addressing system and other technology-driven reforms as key achievements under his leadership that have reshaped governance and service delivery.

He added that his policies were not only groundbreaking but also designed to outlive partisan cycles, ensuring that successive governments, regardless of political color, could build on them for the collective good of Ghanaians.

The Vice President’s message was aimed at strengthening his case to NPP delegates, as he positions himself as the most experienced and innovative candidate to lead the party into the 2028 general elections.
