In a show of solidarity and grassroots mobilization, a group of constituency youth organizers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have officially picked flagbearer nomination forms for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the party’s presidential primaries.

The organizers, drawn from various constituencies across the country, converged at the NPP headquarters in Accra today to complete the process on behalf of Dr. Bawumia, describing their action as a demonstration of the strong youth backing for his leadership bid.

Speaking to journalists after securing the forms, one of the Youth Organizers said the decision to rally behind the Vice President was inspired by his track record in digital transformation, economic management, and his vision for a modern, inclusive Ghana.

“We believe Dr. Bawumia is the leader who can sustain the NPP’s development agenda and connect with the aspirations of the youth. Today, we have taken the first step to make sure his name is on the ballot,” the spokesperson said.

The event was marked by singing, drumming, and chants of support as the youth organizers paraded the forms through the party premises, symbolizing their readiness to mobilize voters ahead of the primaries.

Dr. Bawumia addressing the group of Constituency Youth Organizers, expressed gratitude in the confidence reposed in him. He urged the youth organizers, party members and sympathizers alike, to unite for the journey ahead. “Let us begin with unity and end in unity”, he stated.

He further called for decorous in this electioneering period and said the elections will be about ideas not insults and attacks.

Dr. Bawumia assured the youth a lot of the ideas he will be coming to the table with are youth centered ideas.
