A group of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters on Wednesday converged at the popular Obra Spot at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra to stage what they call the “Agro Ne Fom” demonstration, aimed at pressuring President John Dramani Mahama to remove the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, from office.
The protestors began assembling early in the morning, chanting party songs, displaying placards, and accusing the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) of what they describe as bias, intimidation, and politically selective investigations.
Clad in red and black, the demonstrators marched around the Circle enclave, demanding immediate action from the Presidency. They argued that the OSP has “lost public trust” and “undermines natural justice” through what they claim are targeted probes against NDC officials while overlooking cases involving members of the previous administration.
Several speakers at the rally insisted that President Mahama must “restore fairness” by relieving Kissi Agyebeng of his position.
