The unveiling will take place at the World Meets in Ghana Executive Dinner Ball, an event being held in honour of the Asantehene as a Pillar of Peace. The ceremony is scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Jubilee Hall within the Manhyia Palace.

At the centre of the event is the Otumfuo Commemorative Gold Coin Box, which houses a 24-karat, one-ounce gold coin bearing the King’s image. The commemorative coin has received approval from the Bank of Ghana.
Described by organisers as the first of its kind globally, the customised gold coin box features two rechargeable touchscreens. The primary screen will display a documentary highlighting Otumfuo’s mediation and peace-building initiatives, while a secondary mini screen presents an animated display of the gold coin.
In addition to the coin box, organisers will unveil a range of commemorative gold bars and tablets in multiple weights, from one gram to five ounces. These pieces are intended to symbolise prosperity and unity, reflecting the Asantehene’s longstanding role as a mediator and stabilising force in Ghana and beyond.
The initiative, according to organisers, is designed to immortalise Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s legacy and extend its reach to global audiences, including world leaders, members of the African diaspora, and the international community.
As part of the ceremony, a commemorative gold medal will also be presented to distinguished personalities, including diplomats, business leaders, traditional authorities, and other notable figures in recognition of their contributions.
The event underscores the continued influence of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s leadership, with the innovative gold coin box serving as both a collector’s item and a digital archive of his contributions to peace and stability.
